I'm in the 12th grade right now,i.e I'll be giving the boards next year. I gave my SATs this Jan, and got a score of 2160- 650 CR, 770 Math, 740 Writing. Will retake them in June this year.
Anyway, I don't know what major to choose- Pure Maths or Applied Maths. Moreover, I wanted to minor in Astronomy. Some forums say that Applied maths is great for getting a job later, but I really don't know if I'll want a job straight out of university.
Keeping my academic records( great in 9th and 10th, okayish in 11th, though I stood at the 4th position), extracurriculars( not great, not great at all), recommendations(yeah, those are definitely gonna be good-my teachers love me), and financial aid(will need some of it) in mind, could you suggest some universities/ LACs?

If you want to teach, you’re better off doing pure mathematics, but applied mathematics is definitely more lucrative in the sense that teaching is THE only option with pure mathematics, but with applied mathematics you’re more likely to find employment.
