Can't decide on either Howard University or Catholic University of America for Mech Engineering

Hello, I am a transfer student from community college. I am in the D.C Area and I have been accepted into both schools for mechanical engineering. I am having trouble deciding on which one to attend. Catholic Univeristy is ranked a little higher than Howard but its a little more expensive. Tuition for CUA is $47k and for Howard its around $24K. I am not African American so I am wondering if employers look down upon HBCU’s. That is why I am a little hesitant on attending Howard. I want advice on which one I should attend with best bang for my buck. I recently received a $16k scholarship from CUA so tuition would drop to around $31 K. Is $60 k in debt for the next 2 years worth it for a mechanical engineering degree from Catholic University of America? How are the internships for both schools? What are some pros and cons to both? I’m looking for the best bang for my buck. I forgot to mention that I am Hispanic male , Catholic, but not very religious.

Have you reviewed if all your credits will transfer and that you will be able to graduate in 2 years? If one school might take an extra semester, that will cost you more. Are you sure you’ve received all the FA you can? Talk to both schools about the finances and see what you can do.
