Which med. schools would you consider applying to if you consider becoming a cardiologist?

I am currently a college student and thinking of pursuing a career in cardiology. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you.

I don't know of any med schools that are particularly attuned to those who want to pursue cardiology. Just go to the best one that you can. Make sure you do well in med school so that you can get into a good IM residency. That will hopefully secure you a spot in a competitive fellowship as well.

Cardiology fellowships are extremely hard to get. First worry about getting into med school. Once there ace the USMLE's. Then have an awesome IM res. and make sure you are among the best there is in the whole program. Then try to get into one of the few cardio spots. Unless your in med school odds are you won't be sure what you will do, and if you think you do, you will most likely change your mind while in med school.
