I am interested in the educational path of a BSEE+MSCS. Could someone suggest me what my career choice would be if I go for this path? Would I be more likely handling programing/software work or EE work? And basically what my choices are after graduation?

I would really appreciate it if anyone could give me a hand on that. Any comment is welcome.

Why did you pick the path before even deciding what you want to do?

If your masters is in CS I am guessing you would be more prepared for software jobs. But in that case you would be wise to get your Bachelors in CS as well and not have to play catchup.

Oh, thanks for asking.
The problem is that I’m already in my EE junior year. But I start to notice that there are not many job offerings from EE or hardware sector. So I’m planning to switch to CS in grad school.

Then I am wondering if that will open up some more choices for my career (both in EE and CS).

I understand what you’re saying.
But believe me- regardless of whether you choose hardware and software, you will find a job.

(You are right though, there are more software jobs).
But the most important criteria is what you WANT to do.

Anyway, I think your plan would open doors to mainly software since graduate degree being the most recent, that is what the employers will look more carefully at. But it ultimately all depends on your skillset.
