hi everyone..i am an engineering student (EE) and was really interested for a career in s&t. to get some knowledge about the market I was thinking about taking some classes in my college..i have two options..i can either get a minor in economics or I can get a certificate in finance. finance classes includes markets, investment, security valuations, derivative securities etc. which one do you suggest is a better choice and why?
also how do you go about looking for an internship in finance if you are an engineering major?

or should I mix and mash both?

To be honest, it’s not going to matter too much.

ohk so employers don’t have any preference…thats good
and how about getting an internship? on what basis can I apply for them if I am an engg student? i plan to be part of finance related clubs, but will that be enough?

Plenty of engineers are hired into finance, it’s actually pretty normal.
