<p>Hello, I am an incoming freshman of the Class of 2015 at Virginia and I start school school on August 22. Currently I am enrolled in Accounting and Information Systems (ACIS) in Pamplin College of Business. My goal is to become an actuary. To be honest VT was not my first choice of a college and VT does not offer actuarial science like a traditional liberal arts school such as UVA, Cornell, University of Pittsburg. I think actuarial science is a minor in the Statistics department at VT and is only available to graduates Virginia</a> Tech Statistics Department - Actuarial Science Minor I was wondering is it possible for me to become an actuary going through VT Accounting Information Systems and if not would accounting be the best career field to be in
