Hi, I'm writing my supplements for Carleton, and I was wondering how long the answers for the "short" questions should be.
Can it be a few sentences, or should it be a longer response? Or even one or two sentences?

Thanks in advance!!

I visited Carleton about a month ago and the admissions rep talked about the supplements in the info sesson. She said they aren’t a very big part of the application, and they should only take 20-30 minutes to write. According to her, if you are spending over an hour on them that is too much! The Why Carleton should just be an explanation about what draws you to the school; it doesn’t need to be very formal or structured, I’m sure a paragraph is fine. The word association part (future, knowledge, I can’t remember the other one) can be one word or a sentence or whatever you’d like. What I gathered is don’t stress at all about their supplement! Good luck!

Do you want like the word limit? If so, the limit is 250 words for the question that essentially asks “Why Carleton?”, but not sure about the other ones. It probably can be just a few words.

They basically said that brevity is appreciated.

*When I applied, mine was four sentences long because the Common App had a character limit of about 1000 characters.
