Carnegie Mellon Class of 2021 Applicants Discussion Thread

UPDATE: just got an email from CMU saying that decisions will be posted in the Where Am I In the Process page on Sunday, March 26…good luck everyone!

Now we have the OFFICIAL word! Good luck to everyone!

Yes, good luck everyone!! :x

Good luck to everyone!! The email didn’t say, does anybody know around what time on Sunday it’ll be posted?

@gershwinfan they tweeted that it’ll be at 12:01 am

Just got email from cmu, decision released on Sunday

Sorry, I know this has been addressed but just to clarify for me–letters are being mailed on the 23rd which may very well arrive for many people by Saturday, yes? Do they mail acceptances priority mail?

So is it the night between Saturday and Sunday?

Yep, right as Sunday starts

So I never interviewed nor visited for CMU. Am I screwed? Applied for mechanical engineering. How much will my stats help me? I am also first-gen but asian so will those cancel out?
ACT: 34
UW: 3.89
W: 4.45

What exactly is attestations? It says on my Where Am I portal that it hasn’t been received yet.

@rhhssenior22 I don’t think your screwed. Interviews and visits are just an added bonus to your application. It may tip the scale in another’s favor if they’re comparing you to another student though (considering if you both have the same stats)

@sunnydo165 attestations = documents received, signed. Try scrolling to bottom of that page so that you can send it.

One of my top colleges - good luck everyone

@JamesB007 I was named after a James Bond 007 movie :))

Are both the acceptance and rejection letters mailed via priority mail?

Does everyone have their attestations status date as March 21, 2017?

I do @blue221

are decisions going to be mailed this year? or are they only coming out on the portal?

does anyone know what the “Admission Score Report Form” is in the application documents…? My other test scores have separate boxes, but idk what this one is.
