Carnegie Mellon vs U Mich

<p>Hi! I was wondering if you guys could compare the selectivity and quality of the music departments/schools of University of Michigan Ann-Arbor and Carnegie Mellon. For example, Does U Mich admit more music students than Carnegie Mellon? Is Carnegie Mellon worth the $43,000 price tag?</p>

<p>If it helps, I am interested in majoring in classical piano performance as an undergraduate.</p>

I don’t know enough about Carnegie Melon to comment, but if the differential is IS/OOS between the two, I’d have your answer.
UMich is very selective and very well regarded for piano perf, IMHO.</p>
