Carolina laptop?

^ I know and that’s stupid. They also can’t check or anything like that.

True. I don’t necessarily agree with it, but it is what it is.

Doesn’t Carolina also require that students spend 2 hours studying for every 1 hour in class?

I’m a rising sophomore and nobody at UNC has ever touched my computer

The school released laptop grant today. Please check your UNC account.

I have a 0 EFC and I submitted my CSS profile well before the deadline.
Nothing came up on my Connect Carolina page.
I don’t think I got the grant, and I’m really confused.
If I don’t get the grant, I can’t get a laptop.

You can’t afford $350 for a walmart laptop?

@fhm101: Look under “To Do List” and “General Items.” With a 0 EFC you have to have a letter there. It’s labeled “CCI grant eligible.”

The only things under the To-Do List are Financial Aid Items and Admissions Items

If you are an OOS student, buy whatever laptop you are going to get through CCI, and pay for the warranty. S2 had his laptop stolen this year, and CCI gave him a loaner the same day, which he used for a couple of weeks. They replaced it with a new laptop for minimal cost when he handed in the police report. It saved us a lot of time and effort not having to replace it from a long distance away, and S2 had a replacement laptop immediately.
