<p>Do students feel lost at UM without cars?
Are freshman even allowed to have them?</p>
<p>Freshman living on campus are not allowed to have cars. Only those living off campus within Dade or Broward counties are allowed to have cars as freshmen. UM has the metrorail, HurryCane shuttles, and public buses around to help with traveling. Plus, UM is in a central location and most of what a student would want or need is in close proximity to the school (i.e. Publix, Coconut Grove, Sunset place)</p>
<p>If you can find a way to get a car, do it.. miami will be much more enjoyable</p>
<p>I agree that Miami is much more fun with a car, but you can survive without.</p>
