Carzy Idea:pre-Arch in American University

I am a student who recently decided to pursue a career as an architect. But unfortunatly, all the schools admitted don’t offer an B.Arch (I was admitted to UCSC, AU and USF)… I want to be an architect because I like both physics and humanity and definitely would like to major in something that would allow me to combine both of them together…

Now I need to make an urgent choice between UCSC and AU… I prefer AU for its location and small size (much smaller than UCSC, which will allow me to get in touch with professors). I also heard that there are a good art studio, a good mathematic program, and a physics one, though small. My concern is it seems no one will go to AU to study pre-arch… Do you have any suggestions or know some one who wants to do the same things with me? Would like to hear any information or advises about it. :-)

I’m confused. If you ruled out other schools because they did not have BA programs in Architecture, why would you come to AU? To the best of my knowledge, AU does not offer a BA in Architecture.

Hi bk4972b, thank you for your reply! Because I have no choices… I must go somewhere to study and prepare myself to a master degree… I rule out UCSC because it has a super campus… And I know some people from USF and believe that I won’t be happy to be in USF… I really like AU, everything but can’t ignore the fact that it might not have a program to prepare me to a M.Arch…

Wouldn’t you want to go somewhere that prepares you for your major exactly? You can deff find schools similar to AU that do have your major, like they exist.
