CAS to Stern

I am a freshman who has successfully gotten transferred into Stern from CAS.
Do the grades from CAS also transfer with me over to Stern or do I start over on a clean academic slate?
I was just wondering this because people tell me Stern classes are viewed as “better” than CAS classes so maybe Stern wouldn’t count the grades I’ve gotten in CAS?

Sorry but I have no idea if they will transfer… I was just wondering how hard was it to transfer into Stern from CAS?
Were you one of few that was able to transfer, or did many get into Stern?

I would ask your academic advisor. As an external transfer, our GPAs did not transfer onto our transcript but I’m assuming yours probably would since it’s still within NYU. Stern students still take courses outside of the business school and it reflects on their transcript so it would only make sense that your CAS courses would.

Either way when it comes down to recruiting and creating your resume, you can provide a combined GPA as most external transfers continued to do that.
