Alright, so here is the deal. I would like to apply to both case and stanford early action. However, in order to that and comply with stanford’s EA policy, I must find a scholarship that I would only be elgible for if I were to apply early to case. Does one such scholarship exist?? Thanks
Anyone?
Stanford’s REA decisions are released 12/15.
You could try Early Decision 2 at Case if you are confident CWRU is your first choice at that point.
There is the Michelson Morley STEM scholarship at CWRU, but technically I think you can apply to CRWU RD, ED or EA to be eligible. It is very annoying that Stanford limits their nonbinding EA. You can apply to state schools like Georgia Tech early though, Stanford allows all public school applications because U of California deadline is Dec 1st before a student will get their reject from Stanford on Dec 15 ! So Stanford allows you apply to any public option in any state.
IDEA: Assuming you are a math/science/engineering major: Apply EA to MIT and CWRU and anywhere else like GT or UIUC, or your in state Flagship, instead of Stanford and apply to Stanford RD. You have about the same shot at MIT admission as you do at Stanford probably,maybe a bit easier at MIT. Stanford eliminates about 90% of EA applicants anyway. MIT defers more nonbinding EA students and you can send them supplemental materials if you are deferred.
MIT has an optional maker portfolio, and that could help you get in, if you have a project you can send them to evaluate.
@guy1234 see response.
Thanks for the help!
