Waitlisted. 34 ACT / 4.5W.
@maddieportnoy18 Congrats!!! What exactly is it, and how selective is it?
They just waitlisted my DD. I understand they want to protect their acceptance percentage, as well as their yield, but it’s frustrating. Since she was admitted to MIT last week she is really taking it in stride.
i can. ??
My D was waitlisted! So much for the Accepted Student Day emails from Friday and Monday! Ridiculous.
@Winky1 damn i didnt get one of those emails but i thought forsure those that got one would get in im sorry
Yep…waitlisted. BIG CONGRATS to all of those who were accepted.
*Note–In hindsight, I should have demonstrated more interest in the school, as they list it as an important factor. I did all of my research online, as I couldn’t make it to the campus for a tour.
@hopewhite25 In that case, this was a simple case of yield protection. Your D is more than qualified, but they aren’t sure that she would attend. And why would she, with an MIT acceptance?
Good luck, and congrats on MIT!
Accepted w/ $23,000 scholarship per year!
4.0 UWGPA
35 ACT
1550 SAT
Good luck to everyone, and congrats to those who got in!
oh man i’m sorry @Winky1 those mistaken emails sound like a huge mess. sorry to prod but did you get an email with you decision or did you see it in the portal?
accepted!! with 23k/yr university scholarship
i’m so glad that my midyear report not being sent didn’t matter
36 ACT, 1580 SAT, 3.91 UW GPA, 3.75 WGPA
D waitlisted. Seems like a large waitlist group
Do you guys think major has a lot to do with whether your accepted or not? I applied as a CS major.
applicant817 how did you get an update if your midyear report was missing?
i didn’t get an update-- when i logged into my portal, there was an X next to midyear report.
My D was accepted with 28k merit. Congrats to all and best of luck for a good outcome.
Waitlisted… honestly surprised. I did submit my CSS profile late, but my application, scores, essays, and recs were all pretty strong. Tried my best tho! Congrats to all those who got in and for those who were rejected, you will end up where you belong!
@collage99 , she checked her portal. I was with her.
applicant817 update and admissions decision are the same thing. how did you receive a decision if your mid year report was missing?!
@ambeeywlo Absolutely. The biomedical engineering major is the most competitive one, I think.
