***Case Western Reserve University Class of 2020 Applicant Thread***

D accepted w/ $25.5K scholarship, 4.0 UW, 32 ACT, did interview, didn’t visit, Mech Eng intended major.

@musicianforlife - Any chance you did not get your application in by the EA deadline? Any chance the admissions office is open today to assist you? I’m so sorry; this must be frustrating.

Accepted with $25.5K scholarship. 3.8 UW, 35 ACT, no visit though

@palm715 On my portal it states that my application was submitted by the EA deadline. Yes it is very frustrating; I have emailed them and I may call later depending on whether or not these decisions have been released in groups (which I am not sure of yet).

Congrats to those that have been accepted though! And to those deferred, I’m sure your other applications (and this one in regular) shall go far better!

2320 SAT, 4.44 Gpa, 800 math 2, 800 chemistry … Got deferred and I’m wondering if they are deferring over qualified students?

Daughter accepted with $31K scholarship. 3.9+ UW, 35 ACT. Visited and interviewed. Will do an overnight visit Jan/Feb and look some more although I think unlikely to attend :frowning:

Puzzled at the deferrals of top students, including ones that showed interest?

Kid deferred with 2360 SAT and all As in rigorous high school. Befuddled.

Accepted with Act 31 and 39/45 IB, Not that qualified, but I guess I’m lucky.

@musicianforlife I haven’t gotten my email yet either… My last name begins with an R, so maybe they send them out alphabetically?

@blue37 Oh interesting! My last name starts with a Y so maybe!

Accepted with a 33 ACT with 34,000 a year!

Our last name starts with V and DD heard at noon.
Was wondering if they also send rejections, does anyone know…

FWIU you just get deferred not rejected this go round.

I think many of the top students who were deferred will be admitted if they convey that they want to attend.

Son was deferred.

We were a little surprised, but we also knew Case was not a safety. Congratulations to all who were admitted!

@Much2learn that sounds probable. Especially because a lot of people with such great qualifications also apply to the ivy’s.

Got admitted to the class of 2020, applied EA!!! I’m stoked. International student here, also received a scholarship of 25K per year. The Dean of UG Admissions left a really sweet note at the bottom go my acceptance mail.

They’re so personal at Case. It is amazing

Hi guys! I have a question… were we supposed to get an email for a portal after we applied? I never got one and have yet to receive my EA decision… :o

@musicpen I’m in the same situation as you. Let’s keep each other updated if one of us gets a notification soon?

@musicianforlife okay sounds good. i just called case western admissions and left a message so hopefully they call back monday
