I transferred to a private school highschool year after being severely bullied in middleschool. Example, my head was slammed into windows, breaking the glass, shoes stuffed in my face, as well as general daily mocking. I had a rough transition, especially since the standard s for the curriculums were a lot higher at my new school versus the public school, and all my friends went to the public school. I was generally, at least I hate to say, depressed for the first year, and I really didn’t have any friends. It really took me out of my groove in terms of academics. It wasn’t until sophomore year I started picking up. From there my grades have been on a solid positive trend. I finished Junior year with a 3.65, and am on track to finishing higher senior year.
In terms of classes, my school does not offer any AP’s freshman year, and only one sophmore year. The rest were available Junior year, and then my school got rid of APs all together senior year. I did AP studio Art my Junior year, outside of school, and got a 5 on that. And during senior year, I am taking Calculus and Anatomy and Physiology. Two courses that would have otherwise been APs.
