<p>Georgetown is a Jesuit university. I went there, and am a conservative Christian. There is certainly a visible Catholic tradition at the school, but you can all be totally ignore it if you like. Unless you chose otherwise, the most you will likely encounter is Christian symbolism of various kinds. There will likely be a prayer at graduation, though (oddly) my graduation opened with a Christian prayer and closed with a Hindu benediction of all things. The Jesuits tend to be a very liberal group within the Catholic church.</p>
<p>Now, if a cross or other Christian symbolism is somehow offensive to you, then do not got to a Catholic or Christian school.</p>
