<p>5 NU undergrads out of 35 Gates Cambridge scholarships IS an incredible number Sam.</p>

<p>We've done well historically with the Gates but never dominated the field like this before.</p>

<p>NU was not a major player in winning external fellowships in the 80s/90s. But that has changed since the new millennium. It was in the top-5 for Fulbrights in the last 3 years. With 2 Rhodes, 1 Marshall, 1 Mitchell, and 5 Gates Cambridge Scholars, NU is already having the most impressive year in its history.</p>
