CCPA at Roosevelt or UArts? Class of 2022

My D has not studied abroad but that is really only because we have traveled extensively as a family and she didn’t feel the need.

An unpaid advertisement for Chicago- its a great city. Affordable (in comparison), and just vibrant, with friendly people, and S and I really loved the CCPA show we attended. What I loved most was the buzz the audience had - families talking to one another, and just chatting away before/after the show.

UArts has encouraged and fully supported study abroad, but there is now going to be a huge push/strong encouragement to do so, at least in the honors program, and I believe in the whole university.

My D hasn’t spent a semester abroad, but last spring, she was cast in a show of UArts alumni and students that traveled abroad to perform in Fringe Festivals, so she spent the summer in Europe. (I was lucky enough to join her in France. @MTVT2015 joined us! So wonderful!)

This summer, she’s returning to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to premier a show she wrote and will be starring in! We’re thrilled for her, and everyone at UArts has been excited and completely supportive of her, also.

She had thought she wanted to study abroad, and that was something she specifically researched about schools when she was going through the application/audition process, but these opportunities presented themselves, instead. Plus, she has found that she hasn’t wanted to leave UArts during the academic year. She is, however, hoping to go to graduate school abroad.
