CCS for Computer Science?

Hi, so I got into UCSB honors for computer science (gonna be a freshman) and I have a couple of questions regarding my situation.

So basically I've been programming for fun (yeah, go ahead and laugh) since I was in like, 7th grade. I have an internship at this company in the Silicon Valley as a software engineer. A lot of the people there say that I probably already know the first two years of Berkeley computer science or something like that. I even got offered a full-time job there paying $70k+ a year but I turned it down because I want a degree.

So obviously I don't really want to waste two years of my life (and college tuition) relearning stuff that I already know, so is there a way for meto just skip the first two years of computer science? Like the College of Creative Studies or something, I'm not sure.

yes! go CCS! you fit the kind of person they want to the letter. there is a professor named Phill Conrad who you can contact (see his webpage for email) re: CCS computer science. he is very busy though, so keep that in mind as youre waiting for a response…

be aware they will still make you fulfill the credits for CS 16, 24, 32, etc in some way or another, but at a more accelerated pace…
