hey, i was wondering if it would be ok to send in a burned CD with pictures on it for adcoms. would they have the time to see them? i wanted to do this to show a more personal side to me.thanks

Depends on colleges. Yale and Stanford won't see it and they say so publicly.

oh ok, would schools like UVA, upenn, uchicago, cornell, carnegie mellon be interested?

You would need to check the schools' policies, but many do not want supplemental materials that are not part of the application. Now for my opinion...I would not send a picture CD...unless you are applying to a photography program and this shows your skills with the lense. I also know student musicians who have sent CDs of their original music, or music they have played well. HOWEVER in these cases, the CD was related to the area of study they wished to pursue. In my humble opinion, if your CD is a scrapbook of you, I would not send it. You should try to convey your personality in the essay you write AND you should interview at these schools.
