Celebration of Diversity / Sleeping Bag Weekend

We stayed at the Hampton Inn about a mile away, toward Pittsburgh. For future visitors, they do offer a shuttle service to campus. (We opted not to use it because we had a rental car.)

While our son was on campus Sunday night, we enjoyed a Trolley Tour for parents (sign up early in the day - seats limited). That was great because we saw the city and even had a ride down an incline.

I should add that the staff and students seem to be enthusiastic about Pitt being a neat place to live. My brother-in-law graduated in 1991 and had the same feedback. (We got to see his name on a plaque on campus - fun!).

We had hoped to show our Colorado Kid some nasty winter weather, but it was 20 degrees warmer than usual. He did get to experience a bit of cold rain though (my least favorite memory of NY weather).

My roommate decided it would be a great idea to pick up four baggers and try to fit them all in our tiny room. Never again!
