What is this certification of finances all colleges require of international students for and what if I cannot submit it?
And how much $s should I certify?

Hm....I'm not sure. I do know that when DS studied abroad, we had to provide documentation that he had a certain amount of money in the bank, and that he would not be working while there...AND that WE (the parents) were his source of financial support. This was so that the other country would know that he would not be using their monies for any reason.

It makes sense but my father is ill and he doesn
t work so in fact my family depends on my mother. I am currently working full time but I don
t earn enough to be able to save anything. Does it mean that I cannot study only because I don't have money?

I don't see why you won't be able to attend school b/c of that situation. I think if you talk to your financial advisor at the particular institution, you should be able to work somethin' out. Good Luck and hope your father becomes well.

Thanks :)

But what about the certification of finances form? Should I look for colleges/universities that don't reqire it? From what I have seen so far, only Princeton doesn't...

I think your best bet to save yourself from any confusion will call the financial aid office of the school you are interested in and ask them. Good Luck!
