I have Colapret for Organic Chemistry I for the fall. I've read reviews on him from ratemyprofessor.com and myedu.com, but I also wanted to hear what people here thought about him. How's his class/weekly assignments/tests? Any advice/pointers? Thanks in advance!

I think this is the first year he’s teaching CH 310M…been teaching CH 310N/318N. I got in for Williams, a new prof (grad student?) replacing Bocknack. :/

Ahh. Thanks for the info.

So does anyone know how Colapret was during his classes teaching CH 310N/318N?

Well, now I have Colapret, because they just switched him with Williams for 9am. I think I might be good with that. Just got on the Waitlist for Iverson (48/48) ■■■■■.

Welll that’s good! & I just looked at Colapret’s website and stuff.

Haha I’m on Iverson’s waitlist too. 56/56. I so doubttt I’ll get in, but it’s worth a shot. By the way, do you by chance know Iverson’s website where we can see the syllabus? I just wanted to see if their schedule/grading scale was similar

Yeah, just looked at the email he sent, and he seems pretty good. Think he curves just like Iverson (T score).

Here’s Iverson’s website. http://iverson.cm.utexas.edu/courses/310M/

Thanks for the website!

I compared both Colapret’s and Iverson’s syllabi.
Iverson does his grading scale with +/-, whereas Colapret only has A, B, C, and so on for grades. I do not know what to make of thiss…

Easier to get a 4.0 in Colapret than Iverson. Didn’t see Iverson’s +/-. I don’t like that new scale. Might as well stick with Colapret.

Have any of you already taken O Chem 1 with Colapret

yeah I’m signed up for OrgoI in the spring with colapret. so far, ive heard pretty mixed reviews so im not quite sure what to expect…
