Chance a Girl from AZ?

How well did you do on the CR/W of the SAT? If they are very high (like 750+), you might want to study for SAT M and retake that. Schools will often look at the individual sections of the SAT but not the ACT.

Might I suggest the University of Arizona? If you’re considering the University of Chicago and the like, the U of A seems like it would be a far better safty. It’s usually considered a better university than Arizona State University and being from Arizona, you’re practically guaranteed admission!

^ I’ve not heard that U of A is any better academically than ASU. They’re both about the same level. ASU’s honors college is far better, if you can get into it.

Pretty high I think? My writing/reading whatever has always been at the top, and math not so much. Doubly exceptional gifted student. Exceptionally good at one thing, and exceptionally crappy at another. But my problem is I’ve learned the math on the ACT test better than the math the SAT covers.

So who knows? Ah well.

@bjjones - Not quite even the same playing field, but thanks for the suggestion. While U of A is slightly more academic than ASU that’s not saying much. (And theres a lot of my dear sweet…smothering family in Tucson. So perhaps not.) U of A would be much more appealing if I was interested in Medicine, which I’m not. ASU however, has Barrett Honor’s which I can always transfer into after some time if I don’t get in right away.

My college list has changed some, so it looks more like:

*Connecticut College
Scripps
Knox
Goucher
Cornell College
U of Chi
American
ASU

…Secretly, I dream my new EC of Public Relations Specialist will get me into Yale.

It won’t. So I’m not wasting my money. XD

And I’m missing two years of one same language…so…meh  The online lang. class I attempted to get into didn’t work with my computer at all.

My schedule is as follows:

1st semester:

Shakespeare
Great Books of the Western World
Pre-calc
AP Biology
AP Literature.

in 2nd semester, the first two periods change to :

AP Government
AP Economics

Probably my top choice, as of right now (and disregarding the square buildings. xD) for a whole slew of reasons both about the school, and the personal connections/attachments I’ve grown towards it.

Be aware that Conn College is not known for being particularly generous with FA, although they do promise to meet full need (in your case, most likely including non-custodial information).

Keilexandra-

I have an in. And my alum friend had basically the EXACT same situation I did, and she said the loans and so on were still quite managable. [Divorced Parents, one made almost nothing, one made six figs. And so on] So I am aware…but I think it might still be in a realm of possibility. There is a chance that I’ll become an Education Major…and if I do I can benefit from the FAFSA programs for future teachers…

It’s a waiting game on that department. :)
