Chance a HARVARD hopeful!

Hi, i want to apply as an international student to Harvard to attend fall 2014.
Major: Physics.
Have done the British O Levels: 8 of 8 A's, and British A levels (math + phy): Both A's with 3 100-percentile's worldwide. Will complete it next year.
SAT: 2300, SAT 2 Math 2: 760, SAT 2 Phy: 780.
EC's: Am a competitive swimmer training full-time, aiming to break my countries national record by next year. Have 3 software patents, 1 has been granted in the UK, US pending. I have written a short novel when i was around 15, not published but i did convert it into a movie script. I founded my own charity this year: it is non-religious/political/racial, it deals with basic human necessities in impoverished regions in the world.

Hopeful career: Philanthropist, athlete, physicist. Most of the above were done in a gap year that i took to focus on my swimming training. I wrote the book and script purely for fun, the patents: i might do business later on and bcoz i had a couple of ideas.

I just want feedback on what ive done and how i could improve. Thanks in advance.

Hopeful career of philanthropist… hahah that’s sweet. If athlete is more important to you than academics then you should go to a big 10. but you are surely on the right track to harvard acceptance.

Hi marshall, thanks for your view. What are the Big 10? Btw, ultimately i want to exceed equally in each. Im from an academic family and i would prefer an ivy with a strong sports programme.

Thanks

You seem to have a decent shot. I also have 3 patents (2 still pending) but they have more to do with mechanical/electrical engineering rather than ‘software’. I’m not even going to bother applying to Harvard, partly because the competition is so rough. But you look like you might have a good chance. Good luck!
