Female in prestigious/competitive East Coast public school (huge % Ivy admits, etc). Background on my school: average GPA is about 91, average SAT is 2100+, and we don't rank. Only two electives are available in junior year (therefore only two possible APs are available), but senior year is all electives since we've finished our high school requirements by then.

SCHOOLS I'M INTERESTED IN SO FAR (I know I lack safeties):
UChicago
Brown
Yale
Williams
Wesleyan
Vassar
Swarthmore
Tufts
Oberlin
UMichigan
Barnard
SUNY Geneseo
Macaulay Honors

Chances? Advice? Any safety school recommendations?

Thanks! I'll chance back.

Most of those schools are a crapshoot. I would say that SUNY Geneseo is a pretty sure thing, though, and Barnard/Oberlin would also be a pretty safe bet. SUNY Geneseo, IMO, is a safety for you. Other than those, the other schools that I know of always seem to surprise me.

Some safety schools would be:

Bentley
Colgate (may be more a of a reach but I think you would stand a good chance)
Northeastern (you could think about applying for the honors college)

thanks guys! bump? any more feedback/suggestions/things I can do to improve my chances?

I think you have a fair shot at all of those schools, especially those commented on above. Take the subject tests and be sure to begin working on those essays. Make sure they reflect your goals, interests, and personality.

bump? anything to say specifically about Oberlin and UChicago (visited both and loved them)?

Definitely a great candidate, you show your passions in your extra curriculars, and I think you would be liked by liberal arts colleges a lot. Just make sure you focus your essay on something you love, like theatre, etc

bump?? do I have enough ECs for top schools (UChicago, Swat, Brown, etc)?

Probably in at Oberlin and Swathmore. Some of your other schools are obviously reaches. Your ECs are good, if a bit scattered.

On a sidenote, your school sounds amazing. I would sell a vital organ or two to be in some of your classes.

There is actually a public school with a 2100 average SAT score? Really?

Yes, there is. There’s a test to get in. Anything to say in terms of chances?
