I am wondering how I am doing, and what my chances are at the schools I am looking at. They are, not necessarily in order:

Duke (legacy)
Stanford
Harvard
other Ivys
Berkeley
MIT
Caltech
Johns Hopkins
Emory
Georgia Tech
University of Chicago
Northwestern

Stanford and Duke are my top choices.

My stats:
GPA: unweighted probably 4.0, maybe 3.9. weighted probably 4.7+ (this is assuming anything above a 90 is a 4.0, or 5.0 for weighted)
sophomore PSAT: 222 (the proctor gave us at least 30 minutes than we should have had, because she was confused about the schedule)
probable junior PSAT 230+
probable SAT: 2350-2400
I don't know exactly how they rank, but probably top 5 (out of ~400). Maybe top 1 or 2, but probably not.

I got a 5 on the AP World test, and I hope to get a 4 or 5 on the others.

ECs:
9th/10th:
TAG (a monthly or biweekly class in 9th grade, taking AP counted in 10th)

COMAP

Mu Alpha Theta (maybe)
2008 science fair

I can write fairly well for the essay.

I can probably get good recommendations.

I am in Georgia, at a public magnet high school.

So, what are my chances? I've got good grades, and good test scores. My schedule is quite rigorous, nearly as hard as is possible at my school, but not as hard as some of the ones I have seen on this site. However, my 9th and 10th grade ECs are essentially nonexistent. I also have no athletics or music.

Anything I can do to improve my chances, or anything I should avoid?

I'm looking to major in engineering or a science, and go to medical school.
