Chance a late bloomer for these schools!

So I am just about finished my junior year. I did extremely horrible freshman year, and made up for it junior and sophomore year. I have a 3.2-3.3 UW GPA, and a 2010 SAT. I'm also taking the ACT and expecting a 28-30. I want to major in something business related, most likely Finance, entrepreneurship, or international business (or double majoring them). I mainly want a school that has internships and study abroad as well. I write awesome essays and have great ECs including: hundreds of hours of volunteers work, internship with a congressman this summer, tutoring, track (9-10), Tae Kwon Do (5 years Blackbelt), DECA club (12), may join some more clubs next year as well. I'm asian (indian), and I'm from NJ so I'll be mostly applying out of state and don't require financial aid.

I will be applying out of state and was thinking about:
EARLY DECISION:
NYU (ED)
Duke (ED)
UNC (ED)
I'm going to pick one, I love all but idk if I can get into either although I'm committing myself. If I can't most likely will ED to one of the following below or all EA.

COLLEGES: (deciding on doing all early, but not sure yet)
Northeastern University (one of my top choices)
University of Miami
Boston University
Case Western Reserve University
Drexel
Fordham
GWU
Indiana University- Bloomington
LMU @ LA
JMU
Ohio State
Penn State
Pepperdine University
SUNY Binghamton/ SUNY Stony Brook
Syracuse
Temple
UCONN
UDelaware
UIUC (Urbana Champaign)
UMass Amherst
UT Austin
Villanova

Sorry for such a long list, I'll be applying to 13-15 schools. Thank you for your help, and I would love input, such as your own choices and schools you'd think I'd get into.

That’s an incredible waste of time. 13-15 schools only diminishes your chances at your top choices. Choose a list of 5-7 and focus on the essays and requirements rather than applying for the sake of applying. You’ll save money, stress and a ton of time.

Okay which would be the best fit from my list or schools in your opinion?

I think it’s safe to say that those top 3 aren’t really practical. If you’re going to do ED, do it at a place like Northeastern or Miami where you have a more realistic chance. Also make sure you actually visit the school you do ED to. Have you visited any of these? That’s the easiest way to cut some off your list.

I visited NE, BU, NYU so far. I will visit more this summer, it’s just NE doesn’t have ED only EA. Do you think NYU is unrealistic for me? And I’m planning to visit all these schools in the summer.

Well, the middle 50% of SAT scores for NYU were in the 1940-2230 range. So that puts you right around the 40th percentile, which is decent but not good. Also, a 3.2/3.3 UW GPA is low for NYU, it’s closer to the 25th percentile, which is bad. You’d have a shot if you apply ED, not a great one, but a shot nonetheless. With your test score and GPA, you’d need something that really sticks out that sets you apart from the other 40-something thousand applicants. If you really enjoyed the place and you can definitely 100% afford it, go for it. Just don’t get your hopes up and have a backup plan.

Thanks for the input. NYU is my dream school, especially going to Stern. I know my GPA is the lowest part of my resume… but I feel like I can make up for it with my app, resume, essays and SAT score. The program I was most interested in was the Business and Political Economy or just regular finance. It’s my number one choice, hence the reason for ED’ing. I can definitely afford it and don’t need financial aid (my family makes a lot, lol). You think I might have a decent shot at ED, if not they’ll put me in the regular admission pool right?
