Thanks for whoever chances me, It’d make me so happy. Thanks again.

your SAT and GPA is low, esp for a kid coming from top public school. and that will definitely hurt. AA will help, but i don’t know to what extent…

ECs are a little mediocre too. only thing that really stands out is your editor position… work hard on your essays :)

I’m not trying to be mean (haha) but isn’t being an Eagle Scout a pretty good ec? If anyone else wants to chance me it’d be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

^it could be and it couldn’t. a lot of times, it depends on your project. i’ve seen some eagle scouts go no where 'cause their project was bs

Well I built a performing stage for a Methodist Church’s Youth Group. I stayed in Boy Scouts from first grade to my senior year so it has to count for something. Thanks for commenting.

Anyone else want to chance? I’m actually visiting in a week so if anyone has any knowledge of what I should make sure to see please comment.

the SAT should be at least 2000 IMO
also, have you taken SAT II’s?

other than that, you have a decent chance, being URM and all

I’m looking at Duke because I’d like to transfer and saw your op. Since you’re an American Indian, did you know that Dartmouth was establised as a school for American Indian children? It seems to me that you would have a better chance at a college with its founding firmly rooted in your ethnic group. My sister went to Dartmouth and said they value their American Indian heritage a lot. Good luck to you wherever you go!

Yes and Dartmouth is one of my other school’s. I’m interested in Political Science where Duke is ahead of Dartmouth and If possible I’d really love to go to school in North Carolina due to its location. As for the SAT. I know my score is bad and I’m hoping to get it in the range of 2000-2050. I did take a few SAT II’s. My scores are as follows.
Math I: 710
Physics: 690
Spanish: 650
US History: 800
World History: 770

ushistory and world history are grrrreat. they definitely will counteract your lower SAT 1 'cause it’ll show you are able to handle work. the SAT was just not a great test for you :)
