Chance a not-so-average Asian for pharmacy

Yea, I go to a CUNY school but I will be transferring. Honestly with your grades, you will be a lock there. Also a warning, at CUNY schools, they don’t care what major you select since you won’t be picking a major until your junior year which sucks cause it delays the stuff you should be learning in your junior year. CUNY makes you take 2 years of liberal arts classes to fulfill the introductory classes…so whatever you choose, you will still be ending up taking liberal arts. CUNY should be avoided unless you have financial difficulties

Oh… wow, that doesn’t sound too great. So I guess it’s safe to say that a CUNY school would be a safety for me? I think Hunter is the only CUNY I’m applying to.

lol yea. Basically CUNY is a safety for everyone that applies. Well for 60 bucks, you can apply up to 6 schools for that price on the CUNY APP, meaning if you apply to one or five schools it will still be 60 or 65 dollars (i forgot). IF you just apply to Hunter, you might as well apply to macaulay honors for fun since you are just looking at Hunter.

Lol, err… I don’t have high hopes in myself for getting into macaulay Hunter :stuck_out_tongue: I heard it was even harder to get into that than some top schools? Don’t know how true that is though…

lol, but think of it this way…If you are applying to Macaulay and get rejected, you go to the regular admission pool for Hunter. I mean for the CUNYs, you are only applying to Hunter so it doesn’t hurt to take a shot. Either way, you are still paying the same price.

Hmm, I guess that is true… I guess I’ll decide what to do when I officially start apps. By the way, this is kind of irrelevant, but I just received this email from CUNY that said this in it:
"We have re-evaluated your Freshman admission application for the semester as per your request. I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission into any CUNY college.

Your admission decision was based on an individual review of your academic credentials in the context of other applications; therefore, we cannot provide specific reasons why you were denied admission."
Er… so I’m wondering if this is a mistake? I’ve never sent ANYTHING to CUNY, especially not an application… Is it even possible to reject me before I apply? o___O I emailed them back, so I’m just waiting for a response now. (I’ve never contacted them in any way)

Yea it is a mistake, probably got the wrong email address unless someone used your person information to apply to CUNY,lol

Oh, I forgot to write it on here but they sent me back an email lol. They said they had a system malfunction or something.

Where did you get in?

loll. i know right^. I got similiar stats and now i’m trying to get advice from this.
