You’ll get into all of these schools! Colby and Conn College are a bit more selective but other than, just a quick question: are you jeremy lin?

Thanks! I know I’ll get into at least one of those state schools I applied to so I’m not too worried about that. My main concern is getting into a college that I would enjoy going to. Anyone else have chances?

I would suggest you retake the SAT. Yes, many colleges will accept the January SAT date. Over Christmas break just study as hard as possible to get all 700+. If you can do this, I would say all of these would become matches.

I was deferred from Tulane, which was, I thought, an upper safety school. My guidance counselor said she thinks I was deferred because I didn’t show enough interest in the school. I didn’t so the optional essay, nor did I fill out their Activities form (I just uploaded my resume). My advice to you: Diligently study each college. Find what they are known for and what they are proud of. Find some unique celebration or “ritual” at that specific college. Use this info to make your essays not only show your accomplishments, but why those schools in particular would be a good complement.

Thanks a lot, unfortunately I’ve already taken the sats 3 times and have studied my butt off so December was the last time I take it. I’ll chance back when I get home tonight!
