This is essentially a perfect profile. You could probably get into any school in the country. Great chance for merit aid. Its applications like these that earn the CV scholarship as Vandy is trying to lure you away from HYPS.

but you gotta have heart to earn a look for the merit scholarships. Make sure you are not a stranger in your application. Bring who you are and what you bring to campus to life.

Get an alum interview, research Vandy and picture where you will study and where you will contribute. Be articulate and Be Real.

Cool. I visited Vandy and thought it was a gorgeous campus located in a good part of town. What ECs do you think I should cut. What awards should i cut? My list is pretty long.

Wow, do you ever sleep? I think you have a good chance.

Your only trouble here is making the list concise, lol. I got the CV scholarship and your application is greater than mine.

Only for 6 hours XD. So what should I take out, that is my main question.

First of all, drop the Middle School references. No one cares about these - they are simply expected as a foundation for high school.

For your ECs, it appears that you do a great job of ranking them in your listings with the most important at the top and then in descending order. I would drop the bottom three - NHS, Student Council and Dallas Gem - since it sounds like your involvement level is lower in these.

Since you have impressive awards at the international and national level, I would drop the school and regional awards.

For employment, the startup company and Finance writing are so notable that I would drop all the internships. In my mind they only add clutter and detract from your primary achievements.

I am surprised that your “Summer Activities” list does not seem as organized as the rest of your posting. I would emphasize the job and drop most of the others (no one cares that you studied for tests). I certainly would not list the job last.

Overall, you sound like a very strong candidate. Deciding what to delete is a good problem to have. Be sure to work hard on your essays and getting solid recommendations.

Thanks for the advice, I will use it. However, the only reason why my middle school classes are on this, is because they are high school level and appear on my transcript.
