A lot of things on this post are not exactly real but equivalent to hide my identity from peers

How do I change my list or approach. What are my chances? Is shotgunning dumb?

15 schools is a lot, esepcially as you will be writing many supplemental essays. NYU is an odd man out. Why the laundry list of tippy tops? The lottery approach deosn’t work. It isn’t a case of getting lucky. Learn more about your top choices. Why Harvard? I don’t believe it’s known for CS. You know you are a strong applicant and will get into Stonybrook and Mass Am for sure. Writing quality supplements for all those schoosl is time consuming. Give yourself plenty of time. You will need it.

I’m looking to cut the list in half with an ea

I think Yale is still looking for CS/STEM majors right now? - This is purely anecdotal, so take it with a pinch of salt, but my CS-mad friend got rejected from MIT and Stanford, though accepted by Yale this year.

That’s the vibe I got too. It’s CS isnt independently known but with brand like Yale, who cares?
