<p>iberikar, you’re right: showing leadership is important when applying to competitive colleges. BUT, if you’re not naturally a leader (which is okay), it is hard to garner those positions. Think about your strengths and what you love and SHINE in those areas. If it’s art, think about how you could bring the art you love to others who might need or enjoy it.</p>

<p>Don’t set your heart on Harvard–you have a 94% chance of your heart being broken. Be sure to apply to a few matches and a few safeties. </p>
