Chance? advice? slaps? anything welcomed!

Brown is like my lover/crush/dream school/fantasy/the one i blush when i think about. whatever, you name it! so here are my stats,

Class rank top 5% i guess, were only 40 girls in my class and i fight for the first place with another girl.
SAT n/a but working for a 2200 at the minimum
SAT II n/a but will take french, math and physics
GPA my school doesn’t have it but my general grade is 8/10 (which is like the most you can do at my school)
AP none of that at my school but i was comparing the level with a us high school student, seems like im pretty advanced (16 classes in total)
Excellence family (school paper)
Honor board

ECs
Volleyball team member
Class president (organized a carnival as a fundraiser for rebuilding the school church)
Dancer (12 years, three lead roles, danced for a lot of people like FIFA‘s president, STEP AFRIKA, the presidential house etc…)
School journal member (created the school’s comic strip)
member of the dance school committee
Responsible for the schools national flag (is that relevant?)

community service
+50 hrs of tutoring unprivileged or struggling kids
Blood donor? (not relevant?)

Well i already know my volunteering sucks but im going to work in a hospital this summer + shadow if i can. On my essay, well i can exploit a couple of things, im haitian, lived through an earthquake, my dads death, sisters kidnapping… or i could write about dance which is ultimately what im passionate about.

So im a junior, i have a little time to do some more, specially around my community service area. And my dream is to be a plme student one day (future OB/GYN here!!), i know its a long shot, but any ideas on how to improve my chances? suggestions welcomed puh-leeaaazzzeeeeee!

muah!

slap

Haha just kidding! Anyways, I think it’s hard to judge since you haven’t taken your SAT or subjects. Assuming that you’ll do well on them, then you’re on the right track. But, as with all Ivies, Brown is a crapshoot even for the best applicants. Luck will play a part in your decision.

Work hard on your essays. Put your soul into them. They’re really, really important, especially for Brown, where everyone who applies is top notch. Seems like you’ve got a lot of cool things to talk about that’ll make you stand out.

Keep doing what you love, be yourself, and good luck!

haha!! thank you! i plan to! im addicted to brown! What about any other bs/md program? like hpme? (long shot too) but i hate standardized tests and having the mcat out of my life would be a gift from the heavens!

Sorry, I don’t know much about bs/md! I didn’t really look into those programs when I applied.

Here’s a list that I found though: <a href=“Prestige Obsessed: 2020-2021 BA/BS/MD Programs Complete List”>Prestige Obsessed: 2020-2021 BA/BS/MD Programs Complete List;

Hope that helped!

Without any medical-related ECs, your chances for PLME are very slim. How can you prove that you’re positive you want to be a doctor if you’ve never done anything?

so i have to find work in a hospital in the summer and spring break. Putting it on my list, thanks, anything else?
