Chance an 8th Grade Brit? Odd, I know.

Okay, so if I lived in America, I'd be in 8th right now, going up to high school as a freshman in September of this year. I'm British and homeschooled. I'd like to know what you think my chances would be with these stats. (:

THE BASICS

White British
Female
Homeschooled (8th+)

SCHOOLS

IVYs

Amherst

THE NUMBERS

Please note: SAT was a practice test from College Board.

SAT: 1630 (CR 580, M 520, W 530 assuming essay is a 10)
Predict my score in a couple of years? (: Someone replied to another of my threads suggesting 2200+ but I'm definately very commited to getting a high score so hopefully I can get over 2300. Cross fingers ;D
SAT II: Planning on taking Math, Literature, US History, Biology, French & Possibly Latin
AP: Will Be Unable To Take Tests Since CB Are Unhelpful And Won't Give Me A List Of Centres S:

CLASSES

Please note: I am homeschooled. Grading will be done in a way that will make sure there's no biasing. I will be starting these classes in September and they are, obviously, subject to change if I find some to easy, some too difficult, etc. =)

OTHER My ECs fail, I know S: We're not really 'big' on ECs over here plus being homeschooled limits me a lot. I'm really interested in being more involved in community service so volunteering, fundraising, etc and I want to have a part time job once I turn 16 but will a lack of other ECs immediately put me in the 'rejected' pile?

I was thinking of setting up some kind of homeschool site with resources particularly for independent homeschooling through high school and I'm really excited about it & I suppose that would go down as an EC.

I'm also hoping (cross fingers again) to intern/volunteer with Invisible Children during my summer at college since you can't intern before then. I'm also hoping to sponsor a child in Zambia when my bank account is sorted through Children International. I don't know if that'd count as an EC but I'm planning on starting a change jar to save money for things the child might need. So I could potentially be giving quite a lot. I'd like to volunteer in Africa one day, when I can afford it too but obviously, that wouldn't count.

So thank you sososo much. (:

You really should try to pick up a sport or two and start playing an instrument. If you’re religious, join a youth group at your church, synagogue, mosque, or whatever. You can find ECs wherever you live.

It’s much too early to be chancing you, but with good grades, phenomenal SAT’s, and well-rounded extracurriculars, I’m sure you’ll get in somewhere.

you’re way too young to even be considering college. but I guess its good to dream. homeschool could hurt your chances a lot, since there is no way to be sure its completely unbiased by the admissions counselors at the schools your applying to. What helps is to take the SAT when you’re old enough to understand the material, take PSEO if you can and prove your worth a high GPA, and come back to collegeconfidential.com in 3 years to check in.
