chance an aussie?

<p>Hello from australia :)
Please chance me for the top american unis, i'm looking at HYP, Columbia, UPenn, Stanford and Berkeley. I would be great if i could get into one of those.. but I always have Australian unis as a backup.</p>

IB predicted 42/45 (HL: Maths Higher, Biology, Chemistry. SL: English, Italian, Economics)
4 years of English, History/Social Studies, Foreign Language- Italian, Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and Shanghainese; mathematics, science- IB Biology and Chemistry; Physics</p>

<p>My grades are okay, but thousands of others will also have really good grades. I think my extracurriculars might bring me down. I'm involved in a lot of sport at what i would assume as varsity level, but I'm not sure they would be recognised at this level by american unis. As for leadership, Australian schools don't have club presidents, so there are few leadership opportunities. Will this bring me down? And also, being chinese will obviously bring me down, but will being an international from Australia balance it out. </p>

<p>i think you have a great shot at the ivies, your sat score is really good so that should help. and i think your ec’s are very involved, which should give you a boost. overall, you have a good chance if you do a good job on essays and recs. good luck!!!</p>
