<p>Unweighted GPA: 3.94 , ranked 6th in class of 465
Weighted: 4.32, ranked 1st in class
All A's except one A- and one B+</p>

<p>I've been in an accelerated math program since 7th grade at the university of minnesota, and I am currently taking junior college classes</p>

<p>PSAT: only 217 but I should be a semi-finalist based on the last 10 yr's cut-off mark
SAT: 800 math, 760 reading, 760 writing
ACT: havent taken...practice tests scores are between 34-36.
SAT II: 800 Math II, 700 US History, going to take chemistry and physics later, expecting mid-700s to 800.</p>

<p>Employment</p>

<p>I've volunteered over 300 hrs at local hospitals and libraries. </p>

2nd Place in my division
MVP at my school</p>

<p>Math League: 2nd Place in state this yr, 5rd place last yr, MVP</p>

<p>Passed AMC every yr since 9th grade and has taken the AIME every year. Highest score on the AIME was a 9.</p>

<p>There's a few more awards, but none that are at that high of a level.</p>

<p>Why doesn't someone start a website that would let people plug their numbers in and would give a quick estimate of chances? Actually I think the The</a> Princeton Review tool "Counselor-o-matic" kind of does that - takes some basic info on your scores and your preferences and generates a list of Reach - good fit - and safety schools. check it out

<p>The PR thing doesn't really work that well, at least from my experience.</p>

<p>I think you'd get into Cornell, definitely. Your academic numbers are very good. For Stanford and Berkeley OOS, I think your EC's need to jump off the page a bit more. Can you get your music experience to seem like it's an extremely important part of your time? </p>

<p>I'm not exactly sure what MIT is looking for. Math/science involvement is good, but I'm not sure if they're looking for more research or something.</p>

<p>I can't say I know much about any of these schools, but those are my initial impressions. Sorry I can't be more helpful.</p>

<p>Do you have a few leadership positions? I didn't see any listed in your first post.</p>

<p>Harvard & MIT are really tough. I have no idea what MIT wants. For Harvard, do work on your leaderships I guess.</p>

<p>Btw, how good are you at XC/Track?</p>

<p>i'm jv on both track and XC, will be varsity both next yr, was rookie of the yr for XC.
Yes I am indeed asian... which is why i'm very =worried.
And at my school i have done tons of community services such as freshman mentoring and NHS, but in terms of leadership positions, i'm the favored captain of both math team and science olympiad next yr, and I'm concert master of my school's chamber orchestra, and although I don't get along still w/ our orchestra's conductor, I think I might be able to become orchestra president too. But beyond that, there's no other positions I could possibly get. (not saying i'll get everything i listed though)</p>
