<p>sadface: you're woefully misguided on this one. One might be expected to take AP's if they're available, but most schools outside of the US (expect perhaps the Embassy schools) don't offer AP's or IB's. Columbia recognises the value of other school systems, and they've been proven competitive and effective several times for the hundreds of Indian students who make it to the Ivy League</p>
<p>@ cerberus08 : thanks..i surely am enjoying the ride..since i am in the midst of my school leaving examinations here, I am perhaps one of those few people for whom the days are passing by pretty fast..1st April is almost here albeit it's gonna be a unique night as the decisions will be available in India at 3:30 a.m. on 1st April..</p>

<p>I went to Columbia. Graduated in May--I do interview, but not in your area. And the alum in your area is super busy (he told me:)) so don't sweat it, he's not going to call you.</p>
<p>ya, I had kinda resigned to the fact that I wouldn't be getting an interview call so late in the season..so no interview doesn't imply anything, right ? is he not interviewing anyone in this area or were a couple of people lucky ? sorry for being pushy;hope you understand how i feel..</p>
<p>I think your chances are pretty good. With that set of schools, you can't go wrong. Plus, you're likely to get into, at the very least, one or two of the schools. Good luck! You're list of awards is definitely impressive.</p>
