Please chance me... I know that's what probably half of CC's asking for, but I don't really want to apply if I totally don't have a chance. Soo, basically, this goes a long way in deciding whether I apply! Please help! Thanks!

Someone? Anyone? Please! :(

Hey! I don't understand how you can be college class of 2012, considering those students were already admitted. Your application looks really good, and you definitely have a shot depending on the essays. Your SAT scores are a bit low, namely the critical reading portion. But, this is luckily not as big of a problem for international students that don't speak english as their native language. Definitely apply.

stevezilla1088:> Thanks for the reply! Actually, I'm in for 2013... Just a little error up there... I'm retaking SAT this June... Juz a few queries... Do the Ivies ACTUALLY superscore or do they look at block scores (i.e. for just the highest aggregate attempt) and secondly, can I include my 9th and 10 grade achievements in as well or is it just the last two years of school? (Cuz I have a lot of Community Service and Academic achievements from back then)
Looking forward to a prompt reply!
Thanks a ton! :)

Colleges take you highest score from each section. You should mention all of your achievements beginning from Freshman year everything counts. Good Luck!

abbyg10467, are you saying that (this is an extreme example!) if I were to score 800 200 200 the first go, 200 800 200 the second go and 200 200 800 the third go, they'd only take into consideration my superscored score, and count it as a 2400, or would they still see that I did crap in other sections, and was inconsistent?

the example you gave is extremley rare.. however they will take the 800 from all of you scores. You can go to the collegeboard website where they explain it more. Colleges also mention in their own website that they take the highest scores only. The example you gave however was really inconsistent and i highly doubt anyone can score that way.

Thanks guys! Sci-Fry, my friend, I hope the rest of my attempts at the SAT aren't that, to put it simply, unique with a 800 and 2 horrendously bad sections... Haha... I guess an upper-600-ish score is what I'll get for the sections I'm not focussing on... Another question... Do you guys thinking that getting a patent for a cell-phone battery that lasts for 2 weeks is gonna pull up my chances? Spent like 300 hours on research and paper-writing. And what else (except for something as oh-so-outta-the-world like getting a cure for AIDS or smth) is gonna boost my chances? Really appreciate you guys taking the time out to answer! Thanks again! Looking forward to a prompt reply! :)
