Wrote my essay on a trip to hawaii, specifically on a day spent learning from Hawaiian elders (Kupuna) And how their culture and beliefs have impacted my life and way of thinking, as well as influenced my major and future goals (Peace corps, international service)

wrote common app activity short answer on experiences working with residents of Nursing home I volunteer at - About listening to their life stories, helping those who need it with exercise, and how they give me advice, how I find it beneficial to put a smile on their faces and hear their take on things.

Also, I have glowing recommendations from my favorite english teacher, and I believe he discussed (I did not see the letter) the poetry I had written for class, as well as for the literary magazine, and how he saw me develop as a student and writer during the years he taught me, and my spanish teacher, who I believe (again, did not see the letter) discussed my dedication to learning the language through the four years she taught me (including during the college course she currently teaches me in) and my interest in and thirst for knowledge of cultures we learn about in class, and how reliable and dedicated I am to what I learn. And from my guidance counselor, who I believe wrote about the thought I put into choosing good courses, how I always demanded she let me take the ones I wanted (despite her warnings of overworking myself) and who talked about how much impact I have on other students through the tutoring I do with them in our schools Academic Learning Center.

I did an alumna interview that went very well as well.

So...do I have a shot? I'm getting really nervous as it gets closer to the end of the month...

I feel you have a better than even chance of being admitted. Your stats and other aspects of your profile seem comparable with those of students granted admission in the past. Stay calm, good luck, you should hear something within a couple weeks.

Don’t worry too much. You are competitive. I’m waiting too. Hope we both in

I really hope so. Ever since I did an overnight, it’s been my top choice. Thanks for the input.

I got in as an early write rd student, and you look to be at about my level stats wise, although my numbers are a bit higher (I test well, fortunately). Your ECs look strong, too. I think you’ve got a really good chance. Good luck!
