Chance an OOS (NJ) hopeful?

<p>I understand that chances aren't entirely accurate, but I'm started to get worried I'm reaching too high for all my schools. Some feedback would be great, and if anyone with experience could share their opinions on merit aid? I'm a senior btw and I want to be a journalism major.</p>

<p>GPA: 4.2 weighted (school doesn't calculate UW at all), pretty significant upward trend</p>

<p>SAT: 740 reading, 790 math, 1530 total
took math II and lit subject tests this month, waiting back on those scores</p>

<p>APs: Bio, US, and Lit last year. I got 5s on them. This year I'm taking Calc BC, Physics, Lang, Art, and Psych.</p>

<p>i've always taken the highest level courses available to me. i've also been in the school orchestra since frosh year.</p>

<p>ECs: Been doing FIRST robotics since I was 10. I've been captain since 8th grade. We've gotten a lot of performance/design awards in our state and in neighboring state championships. We do a lot of community outreach with FIRST, like teaching enrichment classes and hosting events etc. We've also introduced a robotics program to our hs since our team is all graduating this year and next year. i spend about half my life working on the robot, haha
I'm really involved in church, I've done week long mission trips to WV for the past two years. I lector and I'm a retreat leader for a confirmation retreat. I do a lot of community service with my youth group.
I started running track as a sophomore and lettered the winter and spring seasons of my junior year.
i've had my art in a bunch of art shows and i've gotten awards in some, i've also had my work in school publications/calendars, that kind of thing.</p>
