I know its really competitive, but I'm a girl who likes science, and mit and harvard are my dream schools. I'd do anything to get in.

Your stats are relatively low in many aspects for schools with such prestige; in this case--MIT/Harvard. There are many other schools that are good for someone interested in a science field, too.

zograscope i see your point BUT how naive can this person can be, this person wants to apply to world class universities with less than medicore application.

Since you are a junior, you still have some time to work on your SAT score. Take classes or buy a book. STUDY. Umm...the GPA, there's really not much you can change. Even if you get all A's from now on, it's not going to make a significant impact. If your school doesn't offer AP, then explain that to the Admission Officer. Just do everything in your power to do something UNIQUE. Stand out. It's a crapshot with both of these schools.

Umm, you need to think of an alternate list. However, you should consider Smith College, Wesleyan University, UCONN, Oberlin (a reach), and UMASS.

in my personal opinion, your grades arent good(at all) but they arent terrible... people have gotten into Harvard with similar stats before, however rare it may be. the only thing thats going to kill you is your class rank. Harvard wants the top students (top 5%, maybbbbbe top 10%). That said, try to raise your GPA and SAT scores as much as you can. You might have a shot. unless you get into the top 10% then you have no shot. good luck.

Gonna be really high reaches. They are still going to be reaches even if your GPA shoots up to 4.00 uw and your SAT scores improve to a single-take 2400.
