S22 has switched directions and is thinking about ED to Haverford. He likes the honor code and the collaborative environment. Does Haverford have an ED bump for a non-hooked applicant? What are his chances ED there?

The other schools on his list haven’t really changed:

Swarthmore
Pomona
Harvey Mudd
Amherst
Brown
University of Chicago
Carleton
Macalester
Michigan
Illinois
Wisconsin

If you can pay for it, I’d say he’s got an excellent chance at being accepted to Haverford, ED or not.

Thanks. Yes, we can pay for it - not applying for financial aid.

Any EC’s…beyond math?

He did Challenger Baseball, but it hasn’t come back since the kids with disabilities are high risk for Covid

Has a chance at every school. Will get into more than half.

While money is no matter you will get merit at Macalester so if that would impact your decision, don’t apply ED.

Good luck

I think his chance ED is good.

There is a bump in the ed admission rate at nearly all schools…Haverford is no different. Sure, a lot of it is sports-related, but we know a few non-sports ED acceptances at Haverford with lower stats, and from much larger competitive backgrounds (PA and NJ). Missouri is a plus.
