Your awards are impressive and your GPA/rank is solid but your ACT score currently is hurting your chances somewhat. Your URM status helps but I think you will probably need to raise that score by a couple/several points. I’m sure you will have other opps at some schools ranked higher in Engineering if Brown doesn’t pan out. Good luck.

Thank you. Yes I’am applying to several other engineering schools, UT Austin I consider my safety. However Brown is my dream school, and i really don’t care about engineering rankings. Brown i believe provides a better program due to its teaching flexibility, the focus it has for its undergrads, not to mention its cultural pluralism and iGEM team.

Ask your sibling’s opinion. And take the SAT as well if you have time.

Hispanic, low income, sibling at Brown – good, good, good

Good program. APCalc AB is not needed if you did BC, don’t get anal about stuff like that. Comp Sci is an elective, if you don’t have room, at least you didn’t skip a core. You maybe should have taken AP Span Lit (is that Span 4? I don’t recall) Did you take 4 years of any non fluent language?

Other stuff sounds good/great. You do know that many qualified people don’t get in, right? like 9 our of 10 are likely qualified (made that up) but they have to decline 8 out of those 9 (didn’t make that up.) So chill out a little, you sound hyper.

Write a great essay, a really great one. I’m sure you have an excellent chance. No one here really knows.
