Chance for a USC transfer ?

So I’m applying as a Chemistry major with a 3.76 (should be around 3.85 by the end of fall). I’m gonna get an A in General chemistry 1 and I’m taking general Chem 2 during the spring semester. I’m also planning on taking calculus 1 for the first time during spring. I’ve finished 3 or 4 of the GE sections and will have another finished by next semester. Do I have a chance?

I’m applying as a sophomore transfer from cal state Northridge but I’m worried because I have almost no prereqs done

Anyone?

Hey, sorry for the late reply, but I’d like to echo the comments I saw in the USC transfer thread. Your GPA is very solid, so you would not be wasting your time. The GE completion is also a plus. However, if you’re lacking a lot of the prep for chemistry, an SGR is almost all but certain to be coming your way. If you perform well in those classes though, I can see you having a strong chance of an acceptance  If you have some prep for any other major (more than you have for chemistry), I would suggest you use that as your second choice major (since chemistry would fall under Dornsife, I believe, so switching should be effortless).

That’s relieving, thanks for the help

As for evaluating yourself as an applicant to USC or any competitive college or university, I recommend first reviewing the following excellent thread on this topic…
