Very first time in the boarding school world. Any feedback on what to expect would be extremely helpful!

Being an over-achiever in an under represented area is going to help you. Since you are coming from a rural area with what I assume is a poorly ranked public school, your SSATs are going to be very important. Aside from SSATS, since you are applying for the 11th grade it will be harder to get a spot since there are so few and if need if you need any significant FA It is often reserved for 9th grade spots.

Goodluck in the application process!

I’m currently an upper(junior) at Phillips Exeter Academy. I think your EC’s are great, they show you are a very very bright kid with lots of potential, which is exactly what Exeter looks for in students. I don’t want to get your hopes up, but I’d say you have a pretty good shot at getting in to Exeter. Exeter received applicants from tons of brilliant students, so it’s possible that they could reject you if your recs aren’t good enough. But I’d say you’ve got a pretty good shot at acceptance. Good luck!
