Chance for CA Colleges and a Few Others Please?

UC GPA: 3.81UW/4.50W/4.06W and Capped 11 AP/Honors/Dual Enrollment Courses

GPA: 3.68UW / 4.21W (Predicted Senior Years) GPA as it is Now: 3.64UW/4.20W

A Very big upward trend, my first semester of freshman year was 1 C and 5 Bs. I have gotten a total of 6 Bs and the rest As after that semester.( I took more AP classes as grade level went on as well)

SAT : 1440 and a 1500 Superscored.

SAT II: I took Bio by self-studying and got a 710 and math II and got a 750. So I did decently.

MAJOR:
I am applying for a CS or Business Administration or Econ Major to Most of These Schools. I know schools like UW, UIUC and a few others will weigh the specific major more difficult, so assume that the major is not a big factor, as I will declare a non-weighted major, and try and switch to a new one (or in UW case apply for the business major etc)

Please let me know safety/reach/match. I do have a strong upward trend, as can be seen by my 10-11 UC GPA.
Colleges I have/going to apply for:
UC System:
UCLA/Cal/UCSD/UCSB/UCD

California Privates: Santa Clara University and USC

States: San Diego State

OOS Schools:

University of Michigan - Ann Arbor.
University of Washington - Seattle
University of Texas - Austin
UIUC
University of Toronto
UBC
University of Indiana (Kelley School)

Privates:
Babson College ED
Rensselaer Polytechnic
NYU - The LSP Program.
Boston College

What I think each school is for me: Reach: UCLA/Cal/University of Michigan High Match - USC/UCSD/University of Texas/Boston College. Match: University of Washington, Babson, Rensselaer, NYU LSP UCSB, UCD, University of Toronto, UBC, Santa Clara University. Safety: San Diego State University of Indiana (Kelley School of Business)

Let me know if these should be switched around etc.

I think your assessment of the California schools are on point. Best of luck.

@Gumbymom Cool, thanks! I talked with my guidance conselour and he told me that UCLA and UCB would be reaches, however, USC and UCSD I have a decent shot at and may get in if my essays and ECs are good enough, I am thinking about adding UCSC is that another safety?

Quick Update:
I calculated my UC GPA incorrectly (included grades that do not count), it is a 3.75UW and a 4.44W and a 4.0W and Capped.

UCLA/UCB should always be considered Reaches due to their <20% acceptance rate and competitiveness but you are qualified applicant.

If you are happy attending SDSU, you really do not need another safety but UCSC would be a good choice. You have many schools on your list, so just make sure they are all affordable by running the Net Price calculators. If not, I would drop them from the list since you have several solid Match schools in California.

@Gumbymom So I have a reduced price on my college applications, I applied for a fee waiver and got one. The price to apply to the UCs and other California schools have been paid for by my school, so I assumed since it is all just one application I might as well just apply to all of them? I may drop a couple of schools that are unaffordable (possibly NYU) but the school I really want to go to is USC, since they do not have an ED option I applied to my 2nd choice, Babson ED.

I believe you only get 4 fee waivers for the UC’s so is your school subsidizing the rest of the fees?
What I meant about the Net Price calculator is that you have several out of state schools on your list which may not give you enough financial aid to make them affordable. Again, if you and your parents have not run the Net Price calculators on all these schools, please do so you will know if they are affordable. If they are not affordable, no reason to apply.

@Gumbymom Ohh I see what you’re talking about. Yes, my school is covering the rest. They said they will cover an additional 5 schools application fee. In terms of price to pay for school my grandparents said that they would pay to put me through school for 4 years, as it is too expensive for my parents.

Best of luck and give your Grandparents a great big hug for helping you pay for college.

Thank you so much for your help for the CA schools

Anyone else down to help me
